He’s had dreams about this moment; he’s had nightmares about this
moment. Jack beneath him, still as in sleep, and for a moment he can
fool himself.
He admires the line of Jack’s throat, the almost invisible dip in
his chin, the narrow lips that are so soft to his touch.
Then, at the verge of brushing his lips to Jack’s, he snaps out of
it. It’s time to get the two of them out. He closes his eyes, takes
a deep breath and when he opens them, Jack is staring at him, unblinkingly.
